Place carrots in medium saucepan and add enough water to cover carrots. Simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until carrots are tender; drain and set aside. In same saucepan, melt butter over medium high heat. Add green onions; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until onions are tender and beginning to brown. Add drained carrots, syrup, salt and pepper. Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes or until carrots are coated and heated through.
