Combine sugar, rum, orange liqueur, fruits, and cinnamon sticks in a large pitcher. Stir to dissolve sugar. Pour in wine, cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight. Just before serving, spoon fruits from pitcher into tall glasses, add ice, and pour over spiced wine. Top glasses of Sangria off with a splash of soda water
